Description:

As well as scenic landscapes and lochs, Scotland boasts heritage, culture, and charming seaside spots. On this full-day tour, explore St. Andrews, a coastal resort, home of golf and Scotland’s first university. Visit a region of notable variety and see the burial site of Scottish monarchs.

Embark on your luxury coach and head toward South Queensferry. Along the way, meet the iconic bridges of Scotland. Make a brief stop to view the Forth Rail Bridge before crossing the much younger Forth Road Bridge to Dunfermline.

Upon arrival, visit Dunfermline Abbey, one of the country’s most important cultural sites. Admire the Scoto-Norman monastic architecture and see the tomb of King Robert the Bruce. Then continue to Fife, a compact county with cheerful fishing villages, glorious beaches, and tranquil countryside. Meander through this region and—why not—stop at the 2008 and 2009 Fish and Chip Shop of the Year for lunch.

Your tour then takes you to a former royal burgh on the east coast. St. Andrews, named after Saint Andrew the Apostle, is a place of pilgrimage and home to Prince William's university of choice. At your leisure, visit St. Andrews beach, see holy buildings such as Holy Trinity or St. Andrew’s Cathedral, play golf, or indulge in some retail therapy.
