Description:
Travel to the Gold Coast Hinterland and follow the original pioneers' track up Tamborine Mountain, along hillside trails and through the rainforest in a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
For your first stop, enjoy a morning tea or coffee accompanied by fresh scones with jam and cream. Take a stroll at the Gallery Walk, where you can browse local art and handmade crafts.
Continue with a guided walk in Tamborine National Park, learning about unique forest characteristics, exploring waterfalls, and spotting birds and other native wildlife that call this subtropical rainforest home.
Enjoy a barbecue lunch at Spring Gully, a private venue with panoramic views of Gold Coast's countryside. Select a beef, chicken, fish, or vegetarian meal accompanied by salad and fruit. Stay active with a swim in refreshingly cool water at one of the nearby rock pools or by learning to throw a boomerang.
After lunch, explore the mountainous regions of Lamington National Park—one of Australia's largest preserved natural stands of subtropical rainforest. At O'Reilly's Plateau, feed colorful birds or take the Tree Top Walk through the rainforest canopy for a bird's-eye view.
On your return journey, take in glorious views of mountains and valleys from the Gold Coast to Brisbane and around the Great Dividing Range.
