Description:

Enjoy a thrilling Grade 5 whitewater rafting trip on the spectacular Rangitikei River with an overnight stay at the charming River Valley Lodge. Experience adrenaline-rushing rafting along the river, past the lush vegetation of the forest, before exploring the natural landscape of Taihape.

Day 1
Arrive at the gorgeous River Valley Lodge, located about 160 miles (260 km) north of Wellington and enjoy a tasty dinner before you settle down for the evening, in a stylish deluxe room.

Day 2
After a hearty breakfast, follow your guide to the river and receive a complete training session as you learn paddling techniques and acquaint yourself with the safety information. Next, put on your rafting equipment and prepare yourself for a pulse-pounding whitewater adventure.

Go from easy to sharp rapids along the 7-mile (12-km) stretch of river and feel the adrenaline as you ride through vortexes, sudden drops, and even natural ramps. After your 3-hour excursion, return to your lodge for a delicious lunch before you conclude your adventure.
