Embark on an almost 30-mile (45-km) journey through some of the most enchanting natural and geological features of the Canadian Rockies. On this half-day tour, see abundant wildlife in the Maligne Valley, explore bridges in Maligne Canyon, and enjoy a 90-minute enclosed boat ride to Spirit Island.

Meet your guide and head out to the Maligne Valley, an area known for its diverse wildlife and geological features unique to the Rocky Mountains. On a 30-minute stop in Maligne Canyon, take time to explore 2 bridges, a cascading waterfall, and ancient limestone formations. Then continue into the valley, through the sub-alpine forest, until you reach Medicine Lake, prime habitat for moose, bears, and elusive mountain caribou. Sightings are common on this tour, so be sure to keep your camera ready.

Your tour then continues to Maligne Lake, where you embark on an enclosed boat trip to Spirit Island. This 90-minute excursion reveals an impressive geological history. Blue-green glacier water reflects the jagged mountains that rise above the evergreens and surround the lake.
