Description:
Journey off the beaten path on a 2-day adventure to Kangaroo Island. Take long nature walks, visit a sheep farm, encounter sea lions and other native animals, go sand boarding, and enjoy plenty of free time to explore the island on your own.
Leave Adelaide behind on a scenic coach trip to Cape Jervis; then hop on a ferry to Kangaroo Island. Journey to your first stop, Rob's Shearing, to see sheep shearing in action and learn about the farming lifestyle. Continue to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery and test some local products before traveling to Seal Bay for your sand boarding adventure on the white sand dunes of the Little Sahara.
In the afternoon, head to your accommodation, Vivonne's Bay Lodge. Spend your free time kayaking, swimming, or surfing on the nearby river. Take a walk along the beach and the property tracks or just take a break before your barbecue dinner.
On day 2, enjoy a hearty breakfast before marveling at the myriad wildlife species at Hanson Bay Koala Sanctuary. Head to Flinders Chase National Park to see gigantic granite boulders sculpted by nature at Remarkable Rocks. Make your way around Admirals Arch and enjoy picturesque views of the coast. See the rock archway from up close and spot fur seals playing and resting in the water.
In the afternoon, choose from several walks that take you to the North Coast and its expansive beaches. After another exciting day, journey back to the mainland to Adelaide.
