Description:
Take in the majestic landscapes of New Zealand’s North Island from both air and land where 2 scenic flights give you unforgettable bird’s-eye views of the Northland’s awe-inspiring natural beauty.
After being picked up from your hotel, take a flight up to Cape Reinga—the northwesternmost tip of the Aupouri Peninsula on the North Island. Enjoy spectacular views of the Northland’s Whangaroa and Rangaunu harbors and the famous Ninety Mile Beach.
As you go inland, hop aboard a comfortable coach and tour around the stunning Cape Reinga region. Listen to the informative commentary from your tour guide and stop at Cape Reinga Lighthouse to marvel at panoramic views where the Tasman Sea meets the Pacific Ocean.
Break for a freshly baked snack and light refreshment at charming Tapotupotu Bay before having time to stroll on the beach and have a quick swim in the azure-blue waters. Then, head over to the Te Paki quicksand stream and experience the exhilaration of sliding down the giant sand dunes on a toboggan.
Afterwards, embark on your return flight. Soar along the East Coast and fly over the Parengarenga Harbour and Great Exhibition Bay, which are only visible by air or by sea. Near the end of your tour, see more splendid sights such as the Houhora Harbour, the Cavalli islands, and the Bay of Islands before disembarking at the airport where your return transfer awaits you.

During the winter, due to wet weather it is possible that the aircraft cannot land at Cape Reinga. On these occasions we can offer a flight-only option that is extended to fly over the Cape area.
