Discover some of the most charming Madeiran birds as you walk along the greenery of the laurasilva (laurel forest). Colorful wings glide above you and catch your attention. Keep your eyes wide open to gaze at Madeira's native and migratory birds with your knowledgeable guide's help.

From the many shades of green along the laurel forest to the rugged cliffs of the western tip, Madeira displays diverse landscapes for exploreing indigenous and migratory birds. Follow your expert guide through the northern side of the forest and look out for the Trocaz pigeon, the grey wagtail, buzzards, and Madeira firecrests. Discuss and compare the species of birds you've seen during the day as you enjoy a traditional lunch.

The forest, mountainside, and freshwater lakes provide great ecosystems for woodcocks, red-legged partridges, yellow-legged gulls, and goldfinches.
