Description:

Escape to a historic World War II island fortress on this full-day tour to Corregidor Island. Explore major battle sites & barrack ruins, visit the Pacific War Memorial, explore Malinta Tunnel, and enjoy scenic views of Manila Bay from the island's historic lighthouse.

Your tour begins with a morning ride from your hotel to the ferry dock, then across Manila Bay to Corregidor Island – the first line of defense for Filipino and American soldiers during the World War II.

Once you arrive, ride the tramvia (a pre-World War II streetcar) to Malinta Tunnel. Formerly a hospital and bomb shelter, the tunnel now hosts an audiovisual presentation detailing the chronology of the war on the island.

Continue your tour by exploring the Mile-Long Barracks, which served as the quarters for over 2,000 American soldiers, and pass by the famous mortar pits at Battery Way and Battery Geary. Climb atop the Corregidor Island Lighthouse for spectacular views of Manila Bay and the South China Sea.
