Description:
In a technologically advanced submarine, descend more than 100 feet (31 m) below the surface of the Pacific Ocean to view some of Hawaii's most amazing marine life. Then complete your day at Maui's longest-running luau with an all-you-can-eat buffet and a Polynesian show as the sun sets.
From Lahaina Harbor, catch a shuttle boat to a submarine just off the coast. Board the 48-passenger vessel and grab a seat next to large viewing spots. This undersea adventure takes you to explore a sunken shipwreck that has turned into an artificial reef and a safe haven for some of the smallest fish in the sea. Keep your eyes peeled for sea turtles drifting by or reef sharks lurking in the shadows.
Then head to Maui's oldest luau, where you are greeted with a lei and invited to enjoy the grounds before the dancers and musicians take the stage. An authentic imu (underground oven) ceremony shows you the traditional Hawaiian cooking method and summons you to dinner.
This all-you-care-to-eat luau buffet is sure to satisfy with its kalua pork and island-style fish, complemented by tropical drinks from the open bar. There's even a kids' buffet that features pizza, hot dogs, and burgers.
As the sun sets, take in the beauty of hula—a traditional dance that retells the stories of many Hawaiian legends. Watch stunning performances of native Hawaiian, Tahitian, Samoan, and Maori origin. Your luau experience comes to a close with fire knife dancers lighting up the night sky with death-defying feats.
