Spend a half-day ripping over off-road tracks in the bushland of Fleurieu Peninsula and kicking back in the quiet vineyards of the renowned McLaren Vale wine-growing region. Sip Aussie varietals, take in sweeping coastal scenery, and tour boutique wineries with a local guide.
From the city center, it's just a short, 40-minute drive through charming natural landscapes to the Fleurieu Peninsula—a favorite weekend escape for Adelaideans. Motor along trails that wind through the Willunga Hills and zip along the shoreline at Silver Sands Beach in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle.
Take a break to hop out, stretch your legs, and breathe in the fresh sea breeze as you gaze out over the sparkling blue expanse of Gulf St Vincent, and then head to a hidden spot for refreshments. Sparkling wine and canapés are on offer, as well as coffee, tea, and fresh juices in the morning or local craft beers and red and white wines in the afternoon.
