Meet your striped-shirt-wearing gondolier and step aboard an authentic Venetian gondola imported from Italy. These elegantly shaped and ornately carved vessels are perfectly designed for gliding smoothly through the meandering waterways of Newport Harbor, which stretches out along 6 scenic miles (10 km) of coastal landscapes.
Your gondolier might serenade you with a song or 2, and you can sip on sparkling water or choose to purchase or bring a bottle of bubbly for the occasion. As you drift along, savor a selection of delicious appetizers prepared by a local restaurant. Options for hors d’oeuvres include jumbo shrimp cocktail with garlic bread, crispy green beans with chili ancho dipping sauce, goat cheese soufflé with wild mushrooms, caramelized onion, and fresh fruit, and herb-infused Margherita flatbread with basil, heirloom tomatoes, and parmesan cheese.
