After your driver drops you off at Cinnamon Bay, cinch up your shoelaces and head towards the .5-mile (.8-km) Cinnamon Bay Loop Trail. Enjoy a self-guided walk below a lush green tree canopy and arrive at the remnants of a long-forgotten sugar mill, left by the Danish settlers. As you explore the grounds, look for clues to the area’s past before returning to the well-marked path which guides you to the sugary sands of a hidden beach.

Find a quiet place to take a break and get to work on your tan, or venture out into the crystal blue waters for a swim. For those who want to uncover a bit more, the nearby island of Cinnamon Cay makes this an ideal spot to do some snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding. When the sun begins to dip toward the horizon, meander back to the trailhead and your return ride to town.
