Cross the border into neighboring Montenegro for an exciting day of adventure rafting along the UNESCO-listed Tara River Gorge. Take in the breathtaking scenery of the largest canyon in Europe, and learn how to navigate the rapids of the river on this full-day tour with breakfast and lunch included.
After a stress-free pickup from your Dubrovnik hotel, marvel at the coastal views as you make your way across the border into Montenegro. After a fuel-filled breakfast, your experienced guide gives you all the necessary safety information and gets you prepared for the adventure that waits. Hop aboard a jeep and make your way deep into the Tara River Gorge to begin the rafting.
The River Tara is famed for providing excellent quality, reliable rapids. Learn from your guide the best techniques to maneuver the Class III and Class IV rapids, while you take in the incredible scenery surrounding you. Pass by tumbling waterfalls, wild springs, and stop for picture taking and to take some refreshing dips in the waters.
After approximately 15 miles (25 km) of adrenaline-pumping rafting, it’s time to take a break at a central point. Here a restaurant with a peaceful terrace is waiting, the perfect place to rest and recover while enjoying local delicacies as part of your lunch break. Later in the afternoon, you can soak up the sun or go for another swim, before being driven back to your hotel in Dubrovnik.
