Description:

For those with a high adventure quotient, feel your adrenaline surge as you plunge out of an aircraft and fall at speeds of up to 125 miles per hour (200 km/h) on a thrilling tandem skydive over the charming Wakatipu Basin, located just outside the heart of Queenstown.

After checking in at the skydive center, you're taken to the drop zone on a private airstrip surrounded by acres of farmland. Here, you can watch other skydivers jumping and landing before your own jump begins. A skydive host helps you get suited up in your gear, followed by a briefing from your tandem master.

Climb aboard the aircraft and take in the beauty of the Remarkables mountain range and Wakatipu Basin as you climb to altitude.

Your heart races as you line up for your jump; take a deep breath and, harnessed by space-age equipment to your tandem master, take the plunge. Feel the wind screaming past your body as you fall for up to 60 seconds before the parachute is deployed; soak up the silence of being so high in the sky as you drift gently back down to earth.
