Description:

Iceland is a country of extraordinary natural phenomena and home to a quirky, colorful capital. Explore the wonders of the city center and explore the awe-inspiring waterworks that the Golden Circle region has to offer on this full-day tour—a perfect combo for those short on time on the island.

Your morning starts with a visit to the town of Bessastaðir, the official residence of the president. Continue on to the popular town of Hafnarfjörður, which retains a village's charm, see small wooden houses, meander through narrow winding streets, and feel the amiable and neighborly atmosphere among the locals.

Then follow your guide to one of Reykjavik’s major landmarks—Perlan. Ascend to the 4th floor and head out to the viewing terrace for an incredible, 360-degree view of the city. After absorbing the cityscape, visit the imposing Hallgrímskirkja church. Then make your way to the University area and Old Town Center where you have free time to explore in and around the Parliament Houses and take a break for lunch.

After lunch, venture out of the city and head to Þingvellir—a UNESCO-listed site and the crest of the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. Next, your journey takes you to a geothermal area of spouting hot springs. Admire the dramatic shoots of water from Geysir and Strokkur and make sure to snap some memorable photos!
