Your tour begins with a scenic drive to Þingvellir—a unique National Park and UNESCO World Heritage site where the tectonic plates of America and Europe meet. Then continue to the gushing waters of Gullfoss Waterfall—the Golden Falls. Stand in awe and absorb the beauty of this natural, uplifting experience.

Your afternoon carries on with a visit to the active valley of Haukadalur, home to erupting hot springs. Although the Great Geysir is inactive, you do get to see Strokkur, Iceland’s famous sprouting fountain geyser, whose waters erupt approximately every 4-8 minutes and up to 50–65 feet (15–20 m) high. Make sure to capture these fascinating water splurges—a great photo opportunity!

To complete your tour, proceed to the charming horticultural town of Hveragerði and learn how harnessing geothermal energy creates unique greenhouse-cultivation. Venture into the large greenhouses to view a wide range of vegetables, exotic fruits, and colorful flowers.
