Enjoy a leisurely drive along the shores of Hvalfjörður as you head toward Borgarnes. Here, you learn about the settling of Iceland, including the famous story Egil's Saga—the story of the poet, farmer, and warrior, Egill Skallagrímsson. You can even see a transcript that dates back to 1240 AD.

Your tour then moves toward Fossatún, where you can admire the magical Troll Falls. Enjoy some free time to explore the town on your own or treat your taste buds to a traditional Icelandic lunch. Then continue to Deildartunguhver, where you can wander along the magnificent geothermal area to see hot spring water that emerges at 206 degrees Farenheit (97 C) as well as the lovely deer fern, which is unique to the area.
