Description:

A wonder for all ages, the SEA LIFE Charlotte-Concord Aquarium is home to more than 5,000 sea creatures. Explore more than 20 displays including touch pools, a 180-degree walk-through tunnel, and an ocean exhibit where a blacktip reef shark swims alongside graceful rays and sea horses.

Take an underwater journey from the rivers of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. For a hands-on activity, head to the interactive touch pool to feel a starfish, sea urchin, shark pup, or horseshoe crab. Catch one of the marine experts' daily presentations, view a feeding, and walk through the spectacular Ocean Tunnel to marvel at the creatures swimming overhead.

As you explore the aquarium, see stunning blueface angelfish, blacknose sharks, zebra sharks, and reef butterfly fish. Then get closer than ever before to a giant Pacific octopus, a master of disguise, good-naturedly swimming while a clownfish hides in a sea anemone—its home base.
