Description:

Travel back in time, and up in elevation, on the 100-year-old wagon road the pioneers used to travel northward to Flagstaff and beyond.

Take in panoramic views as you meander your way to an elevation of 7,500 feet (2,286 m) where you can gaze, awestruck, at the vast landscape of Sedona 2000 feet (610 m) below. Pass through 3 different ecological life zones as you reach the world's largest continuous stand of ponderosa pines.

This trail is a photographers dream and is used in many of the movies filmed here. Catch a bird’s-eye view of the majestic rock formations like Snoopy Rock, Merry-Go-Round Rock, Munds Mountain, Mitten Ridge, Wilson Mountain, and much more.
