Description:

Unravel the secrets of Korean cuisine and gain insight into the country’s food culture. During this hands-on experience, learn how to make the country's most popular dishes from professional chefs. At the end of your class, enjoy your creations and stroll through the local market.

This beginner-oriented class is perfect if you're new to cooking and eager to explore Korea’s unique culinary traditions. After some safety instructions and guidance from expert chefs, roll up your sleeves to prepare 2 tasty Korean dishes.

Different dishes are taught each day of the week. Sample menus include:

Monday:
Haemul pajeon (seafood pancake) and sundubu (soft tofu stew), a creamy, spicy stew of soft tofu with seafood

Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon:
Bulgogi (grilled fire beef) and seasonal kimchi (fermented cucumber or Napa cabbage), Korea’s most well-known dish, renowned for its tantalizing spiciness and health benefits

Wednesday:
Geotjeolri (seasonal salad) and dolsot bibimbap (stone bowl bibimbap), rice topped with various veggies, meat, and an egg, served in a heated stone bowl

Thursday morning and Friday afternoon:
Dakbokkeumtang (spicy chicken stew), a flavorful chicken barbecue dish, and japchae (glass noodle salad), a colorful noodle dish with a mix of different vegetables and meat

After your class, take a guided walking tour of a local market for a closer look at the ingredients that go into the country's vibrant cuisine.
