Description:
Explore the striking Mount Ijen and admire panoramic views from its summit on this 3-day excursion from Bali. Combine your hiking adventure with a guided tour of Banyuwangi village and pass through the scenic landscapes of West Bali National Park.
Day 1
In the comfort of an air-conditioned vehicle, depart from your hotel and head west toward the island of Java. Journey through picturesque terraced rice fields, rustic villages, stunning beaches, and the lush West Bali National Park, which flourishes with exotic flora and fauna.
After taking a ferry across the Bali Strait, you reach the idyllic town of Banyuwangi. Break for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant and ride in a traditional pedicab. Spend time taking in the charming natural surroundings before dinner and take a breaking in the comfort of your hotel.
Day 2
Join a guided hike into the dense forest toward the edge of Mount Ijen's caldera. Pass natural wonders such as volcanic rocks and valley streams as you make your way to the summit. While here, marvel at the charming turquoise sulfuric lake in the crater. Take time to absorb the remarkable sight of Ijen's blue flame before descending back to the base where a vehicle awaits to bring you back to the hotel.
Day 3
Discover the local coffee, cocoa, and rubber plantations in Kaliselogiri—once a thriving Dutch colonial post. Interact with the locals and learn about their customs, heritage, and daily lives before you return to Bali.
