Description:

Learn to sail on the stunning Sydney Harbour on this weekend yachting course. Designed for beginners who want to acquire new skills, this 2-day course pairs you with a personal skipper who teaches you both the theoretical and practical aspects of yachting on the harbor's calm waters.

Day 1
Learn basic safety procedures and familiarize yourself with your yacht's equipment before your lesson begins. Afterward, watch your skipper demonstrate the sailing fundamentals, which include tying knots, handling sheets and halyards, and properly steering the boat. You also learn basic navigation commands and nautical terms—ensuring that you avoid any collisions. At the end of the class, start to sail under the guidance of your professional captain.

Day 2
Improve and sharpen your sailing techniques with more on-water practice. Your skipper gives feedback, helping you master your handling skills. While on your yacht, take in the awe-inspiring views and picturesque vistas of Sydney's iconic landmarks, such as the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, and Fort Denison.
