Description:
The scenic Chilliwack River unravels before you. Strap into your life vest, slip into your wetsuit, grab a paddle, and shove off for a guided river-rafting adventure that takes you past gorgeous mountains and over Class III-IV rapids.
Set out on one of the best rivers to raft in the Vancouver area. With a drop of 35 feet (10.7 m) per mile over the 11-mile (18-km) trip, the Chilliwack River features numerous long, challenging rapids to get your adrenaline pumping and put your skills to the test.
The small boats allow you to feel the rapids slide beneath you and paddle under the directions of your guide as you navigate the river. Take on set after set of rapids, including the renowned Tamahi rapids where the Canadian national kayak team trains.
About halfway through the trip, pull your boat to the shore, take a little time to take a break, and relish some of the best food on the river with a first-class lunch buffet.
After a respite, it's back to the boats for more fantastic rafting and stunning scenery, as knowledgeable guides point out wildlife and natural features along your trip. Once you've completed your route, a hot shower is waiting for you as the adventure comes to an end.
