Description:

Lace up your boots for a moderate, 2-hour guided hike up scenic Piestewa Peak and explore breathtaking, 360-degree views of the Valley of the Sun. Experience continuous elevation gain on this intermediate hike, exploreing the Sonoran Desert from 2,610 feet (796 m).

Piestewa Peak is a “young” mountain (roughly 14 million years old) and demands intermediate hiking ability and stamina from those who would climb it, especially on warm days. As you become energized, pushing yourself up the trail, your professional guide highlights the history of the area, including the animals that live on the peak and the views of the city below. Even though Piestewa Peak is located in the center of Phoenix, it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere.

After you reach the top, take a drink of water, rest your legs and relish the great views of Pheonix, the valley, and surrounding mountains. You've reached the top but you're only halfway there—now it's time to head back down.
