Jan 12, 2027 - Ulva Island
Jan 13, 2027 - Doubtful Sound

Doubtful Sound is a remote, unspoilt wilderness of many moods: one minute clear, blue and sun-drenched, the next, mist-shrouded and mysterious. When you discover Doubtful Sound you will be struck by its silence -- a silence broken only by bird song, maybe the sound of a fish leaping or the rushing of a distant waterfall.

Jan 13, 2027 - Dusky Sound

One of the most complex of the many fjords on this coast, it is also one of the largest, 40 kilometres in length and eight kilometres wide at its widest point. To the north of its mouth is the large Resolution Island, whose Five Fingers Peninsula shelters the mouth of the sound from the northwest. along the east coast of the island, Acheron passage connects Dusky Sound with Breaksea Sound, to the north. Several large islands lie is the sound, notably Anchor Island, Long Island, and Cooper Island. The upper reaches of the sound are steep-sided, and the high precipitation of the region leads to hundreds of waterfalls cascading into the sound during the rainy season. Seals and dolphins are often sighted in the sound's waters. The Seaforth River is the largest of many small rivers and creeks which flow into the sound.

Jan 14, 2027 - Milford Sound

Part of the majestic Fjordland National Park, Milford Sound is a spectacular sight not to be missed. Flowing into the Tasman Sea, the Sound is surrounded by towering fjords, lush greenery, icy peaks and thunderous waterfalls. The dazzling blue water is also teeming with wildlife and if you are lucky, you just might catch a glimpse of a frolicking dolphin, seals or the rare Fjordland Crested penguin.

Jan 15, 2027 - Snares Islands

The Snares Islands are a subantarctic island group that became UNESCO World Heritage in 1998, because of the unique flora and fauna. The Snares lie south of Bluff, New Zealand's southernmost city. The Snares are considered as so called "minimum impact islands" meaning landings are not permitted unless the Department of Conservation issues a special permit. The Snares consist of one Main Island (North East Island) that is surrounded by several smaller islands and rocks (e.g. Broughton Island, Alert Stack, the Daption Islands in the north), and a group of islands that are known as the Western Chain. All islands of the Snares group are bordered by steep cliffs except a few eastern parts. The climate is mainly influenced by a warm current coming in from Australia and the mean annual temperature is a mild 11°C.

Jan 16, 2027 - Enderby Island
Jan 16, 2027 - Musgrave Inlet
Jan 17, 2027 - At Sea
Jan 18, 2027 - Macquarie Island

Macquarie Island, one of Australia's subantarctic islands and a site of outstanding geological significance on a world scale, has recently been added to the World Heritage List for its geological wonder. It is the only island in the world composed entirely of oceanic crust and rocks from the mantle - deep below the earth's surface. Macquarie Island is recognized for its rich and diverse animal life. Around 3.5 million seabirds arrive on Macquarie Island each year to breed and moult. Most of these are penguins. The Macquarie Island Nature Reserve covers the main island, surrounding islands, and includes all of the ocean surrounding the island out to a distance of 3 nautical miles. Macquarie Island is an UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and is listed on the Register of the National Estate. The Macquarie Island World Heritage Area includes the Island and surrounding waters out to a distance of 12 nautical miles. A scientific station on the Island is operated by the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) on behalf of the Commonwealth Government.

Campbell Island is one of many remote islands declared a reserve for the preservation of flora and fauna under the continuing control of the Department of Conservation.

Jan 22, 2027 - At Sea
Jan 23, 2027 - Antipodes Island

Antipodes Island is one of the most isolated and least known of the New Zealand's Sub Antarctic Islands. Zodiac cruise the coastline to see the Antipodes Island parakeet and also the Red-crowned, which is a strong subspecies. Also see the Antipodes subspecies of the NZ Pipit. Redpolls and Starlings can also be seen. Both Rockhopper and Erect crested penguins frequent the coastline. There are usually a good number of Antarctic terns and Kelp gull. Antipodes Island is a wildlife expedition site.
