Dec 05, 2027 - Great Exuma

Exuma's cays form one of the prettiest and most hospitable Bahamian chains. Bright white sand of deserted beaches contrast the deep aquamarine and jade hues of the water. Lord Rolle imported the first cottonseeds in late 18th century and had more than 300 slaves working on Great Exuma - who adopted their master's surname. When cotton was a financial failure for him and emancipation loomed, Lord John Rolle deeded 2,300 acres of land given to him by the British Government to his foremen slaves. This land has been passed on to each new generation and can never be sold to outsiders. Today almost half the residents go by the name Rolle; one of the largest settlements is named Rolleville. George Town is home to Government Administration Building, a pink and white building modeled after Government House in Nassau. St. Andrew's Anglican Church is a beautiful 150-year old white building with blue doors and shutters and an active place of worship today. Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park is a natural preserve for brilliant coral reefs and exotic marine life.

Grand Turk is a small island located at the end of the Bahamas chain. It is about 7 miles long and 2 miles wide. The Island and beaches are absolutely stunning and the people some of the friendliest and helpful people you will ever meet. The Island is virtually crime free and totally safe to wander any time of the day or night. Grand Turk is not a 'glitzy' Island. The evening's entertainment is typically a good meal taken at some of the best restaurants you can find (such as Calico Jacks), friendly and cosy Pubs like 'Bonney & Reads', and frequent live local music in the Hotel gardens. There is a Disco on the Island and this is highly rated by visitors and locals alike. It is however situated away from the Hotels and does not spoil anyone's quiet enjoyment of the balmy Caribbean evenings.

Bimini, the Gateway to the Bahamas, is a tiny island set amidst a magnificent blue sea. Bordered by the warm waters of the Gulf Stream and by the Great Bahama Bank, Bimini has traditionally been referred to as the big game fishing capital of the world. Discovered by Ponce de Leon in 1512 while searching for the fountain of youth, Bimini has long remained a popular destination for adventurers of all types. Pirates and rum runners took refuge here. Ernest Hemmingway made it a favorite retreat in the 1930's. Thousands more have come to catch prized gamefish, explore the undersea world or simply do nothing at all. Alice Town is at the center of most of Bimini's activity. Everything is close so walking is the usual method of getting place to place. Restaurants specialize in local seafood and other dishes. Shopping consists of duty free liquors and perfume, native artwork, and a Bahamian straw market featuring a wide variety of souveniers. Several bars and night spots complete with island music provide upbeat nightlife.

Key West is the southernmost point in the Continental United States and has tropical climate, tantalizing blue water, and laid-back island ambiance. A visit to Key West will grab the interest of both the young and old, the energetic and laid-back, the water lovers and land loungers. Ride the Conch Train's wheels or walk the streets to see all Key West has to offer. Experience Ripley's Believe It or Not, pages of history in the Key West Lighthouse, and the way life was for famous former Key West residents Ernest Hemmingway and John James Audubon in their historical island homes. Old Town is the location of many popular Key West sites and attractions. Duval Street is in the heart of Old Town and home of some favorite Key West drinking establishments like Sloppy Joes, Hog's Breath Saloon and Jimmy Buffetts Margaritiville Cafe.
