Lake District Crossing
The spectacular Lake District of Argentina and Chile ranks as one of the top attractions in South America. It is a lovely region of blue lakes, rivers, waterfalls, dense green forests, and snow-covered volcanoes. Overnight in the picturesque mountain town of Bariloche, in the heart of the Lake District, on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, before crossing into Chile. The full day crossing is a land and water combination, ending in the small Chilean town of Puerto Varas, located 13 miles north of Puerto Montt, on the southern shore of Lake Llanquihue. The architecture of the town is uniquely European, and reflects its German colonization. If you have time, allow extra days to explore both Bariloche and Puerto Varas.

Day 1 Bariloche
Airport greeting and transfer to your selected Bariloche hotel.

Day 2 (Bariloche, Puerto Varas
Early morning transfer at 6:45 am by motorcoach from Bariloche to Puerto Panuelo where you will board the El Condor Catamaran that will take you along Lake Nahuel Huapi to Puerto Blest. You can have breakfast (optional) in the Hotel Blest's lakeside restaurant. After breakfast, depart by bus to Puerto Alegre where you will board the Dalca motor ship for a 15-minute cruise on Frias Lake. Upon arrival at Puerto Frias, clear Argentine customs and proceed by bus through lush Andean vegetation to Vicente Perez Rosales pass. Continue 18 miles further to the Chilean customs at Puella, followed by lunch at Hotel Puella. After lunch, board the Lagos Andinos Catamaran and sail the emerald waters of Lake Todos los Santos, with views of Mount Puntiagudo and the impressive Osorno Volcano, to Petrohué. Disembark, visit the magnificent Petrohué Falls, and continue by motorcoach to Puerto Varas. Arrive at approximately 7:30 pm and transfer to your selected hotel.

Day 3 Puerto Varas
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Santiago. If you have an afternoon flight, you should consider a city tour of Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt.
