3-Nights Cuzco and Rainbow Mountain

Day 1: Welcome to Cuzco, Peru

Upon arrival at the airport, you'll be warmly greeted and escorted to the luxury hotel that best suits your style. Our hotels' central locations make it easy to step out and explore at your own pace. Cuzco offers delightful dining and shopping opportunities and the charming cobblestone streets of the historic district are just out your door!

Day 2: Discover the ancient capital of the Inca

This morning your personal car, driver and guide will be waiting at your hotel to take you on a fascinating half-day tour of Cuzco. Begin by traveling by private car into the mountains outside of town to the Inca site of Sacsayhuaman, known for its impressive masonry and great views over the city. Return to Cuzco and at the Almudena Cemetery and bustling San Pedro Market, you'll gain fascinating insight into ancient Andean traditions which endure still in the daily lives of Cuzco's residents. Your explorations end with a visit to old Cuzco, including the Temple of the Sun and the city's imposing Cathedral. Return to your hotel and enjoy the balance of the afternoon and evening at leisure. Day 3: Full day excursion to Palcoyo

An early departure with your private guide begins your journey to Palcoyo, a lesser known Rainbow Mountain experience than Vinincunca, but one more appealing with its superior views and fewer crowds. After a little over 2 hours' drive by private car, you'll walk with your guide for about for truly amazing views of these spectacular mountains. En route on your return to Cuzco, you'll stop at an old family hacienda to enjoy a picnic lunch on these lovely grounds. The rustic setting enhances the beautiful architecture and art throughout the original buildings, and gives you a true sense of an hacienda estate. You'll be back in Cuzco in by evening. Meals B+L

Day 4: Depart Cuzco

Your private car and driver will take you to the airport or rail station for your onward journey. Meals B
