Known for its stark mountain peaks and spectacular glaciers, Longyearbyen was named for the American John Monroe Longyear, who established a mining operation here in 1906. In the summer season, many species of birds can be found nesting in the steep cliffs while the seaside harbors a number of marine animals from white whales, seals and walruses. In the small town, are museums, local shops and restaurants to explore at a leisurely pace.

Double on promenade deck with windowThese comfortable outside cabins, accommodating up to 2 people, have double beds. They overlook the mid-level walking deck, so views may be partially obstructed.
Twin on lower or middle deck with window.A standard cabin with separate beds, one of which converts into a sofa. Cabins on deck 6 offer views toward the mid-level walking deck, which may be partially obstructed.
Twin on lower deck with porthole.These comfortable outside cabins accommodate up to 2 people and feature separate twin beds and a porthole. Please note that cabins 405 and 406 offer a limited view.
Twin on lower deck with window .These standard outside cabins for up to 2 people feature separate twin beds, one of which converts into a sofa. Please note that cabins 492 and 499 may experience some noise.
Double on promenade deck with window.These standard outside cabins accommodate up to 2 people and feature double beds. They offer views of the mid-level walking deck, which may be partially obstructed.
Double on middle or upper deck with window.These comfortable outside cabins sleep up to 2 people and feature a double bed and a window with a full view. Please note that cabins 492 and 494 may experience noise.
Accessible triple on middle deck with window.Wheelchair-accessible room for up to three people with wider door, accessible WC and one adjustable bed. The cabin has separate beds.
Triple on middle deck with window (restricted view).These comfortable outside cabins for up to three people have separate beds, one of which is an upper berth. The cabins have windows, but with limited view.
Twin on lower deck.These comfortable, standard inside cabins for up to 2 people have separate twin beds.

The ship is named after the spectacular Trollfjord in Lofoten. Inside she provides spectacular comfort, modern facilities and interior design that makes extensive use of Norwegian wood and stone. The art exhibited aboard ship includes original paintings that were once on board the old Hurtigruten ship, MS Harald Jarl. MS Trollfjord´s sun deck and hot tub are on deck 9. The ship´s spacious, two-story panorama lounge is above the bow. Its wall-to-wall windows bathe the lounge in natural light and provide extraordinary views.
