About the Ship
When Captain Richard With established the Norwegian Coastal Express in 1893, he made a lasting impact on life along the Norwegian coastline. The MS Richard With continues this legacy, now upgraded into a greener hybrid vessel that significantly reduces its environmental footprint.
Equipped with large battery packs and new, efficient engines, the ship cuts fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by approximately 25 percent. It also features state-of-the-art navigation and control systems, advanced wastewater treatment equipment, and SRC technology, which reduces NOx emissions by at least 80 percent.
