4 Ngorongoro Crater – East Africa’s Lost World

Today, board a flight to Ndutu and transfer overland to Tanzania's next wonder. Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders, formed two to three million years ago by a massive volcanic eruption. This vast caldera, surrounded by towering walls, is teeming with wildlife: wildebeest, zebras, buffalo and gazelle are abundant on the plains, while elephants, black rhinos, lions and hippos can be tracked by experienced safari guides.
