Day 1 Stockholm, Sweden
Arrive Stockholm

Tour begins: 4:00 PM, Sheraton Stockholm Hotel. A transfer is included from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Sheraton Stockholm Hotel. Join us for an exclusive visit to the Vasa Museum to view the Vasa, the Baltic Sea's mightiest warship, adorned with hundreds of sculptures. This evening, join us for dinner back at your hotel.

Day 2 Stockholm, Sweden
A City Built on Islands

With a local guide, explore Stockholm's City Hall, where the Nobel Prize award festivities take place. See the Council Chamber; the Gold Room, whose walls sparkle with 18 million pieces of gold mosaic and glass; and the Blue Room, misnamed because the architect changed his mind as work progressed and left its red-brick walls intact. On a drive among Stockholm's islands, see views of the Baltic, Lake Mälaren, the Strandvägen, the inner harbor, the palace, and the cathedral. The rest of the day is free.

Day 3 Lagan Sweden
Stockholm to Vaxjo

Today, journey to southern Sweden and Denmark. Your drive will take you to historic Löfstad Slott near Norrköping for lunch and to Gränna, Sweden, famed for its red-and-white peppermint candies and charming cobbled streets. Then continue on to your hotel, where dinner is served.

Day 4 Copenhagen, Denmark
Sofiero Slott & on to Copenhagen

Depart Sweden's southern lakes region and journey toward the coast for a guided visit to the romantic Sofiero Slott, once a royal summer retreat. Wander through its award-winning gardens overlooking the Øresund Strait. After lunch on the palace grounds, continue south to Copenhagen, where the rest of the evening is at your leisure to explore the Danish capital or enjoy the magical lights and music of Tivoli Gardens (season permitting).

Day 5 Copenhagen, Denmark
Enchanting Copenhagen

Head to North Zealand this morning for Tauck's early-entry, private visit to 17th-century Frederiksborg Palace — often called the "Versailles of Denmark" and one of the finest examples of Dutch Renaissance architecture in Scandinavia. Home to the Museum of National History since 1878, the palace tells the story of Denmark through centuries of regal portraits, ornate furnishings, and grand ceremonial rooms. After a traditional Danish lunch at a local inn, return to Copenhagen for an afternoon at leisure. You may choose to explore more of the city on your own, relax at the hotel, or revisit the charm of Tivoli Gardens if you haven't yet had the chance.

Frederiksborg Palace

Enjoy a leisurely morning before traveling to Hillerød for an early opening guided visit to Frederiksborg Palace, one of Scandinavia's most magnificent Renaissance castles. Following lunch in the Danish countryside, return to Copenhagen where you'll have the afternoon and evening at your leisure.

Day 7 Oslo, Norway
Fly to Oslo

Transfer to the airport this morning for your flight to Oslo, Norway's elegant waterfront capital. Upon arrival, enjoy an introductory sightseeing tour showcasing the city's blend of Nordic tradition and contemporary design, including a visit to Vigeland Sculpture Park, home to Gustav Vigeland's striking collection of bronze and granite sculptures. After checking into your centrally located hotel, the remainder of the afternoon is free to enjoy Oslo at your leisure before gathering this evening for dinner.

Begin your day with breakfast at leisure in the heart of Norway's capital before setting out with a local guide for a visit to the Norsk Folkemuseum, home to the remarkable Gol Stave Church, one of Norway's finest examples of medieval wooden architecture and cultural preservation. Following free time for lunch, the afternoon is yours to explore Oslo as you wish - perhaps returning to the Bygdøy Peninsula to visit one of its renowned maritime museums or simply enjoying the city's relaxed Nordic atmosphere.

Day 9 Loen, Norway
From Oslo to the Fjords

Depart Oslo this morning and journey northwest into the heart of Norway's spectacular fjord country, where glacier-carved valleys, soaring mountains, and storybook villages define the landscape. Pause in the town of Gol for lunch before continuing through some of Scandinavia's most breathtaking scenery en route to the village of Balestrand, beautifully set along the shores of the Sognefjord. This evening, gather for a traditional Scandinavian Smörgåsbord dinner - an abundant feast celebrating Nordic flavors, hospitality, and regional culinary traditions.

Day 10 Loen, Norway
Balestrand to Loen

Set out by boat this morning along the Fjaerland Fjord, where steep cliffs and glacier-carved landscapes rise dramatically from the water. Disembark for a visit to the Norsk Bremuseum (Glacier Museum), an interactive introduction to the powerful natural forces that have shaped Norway's western coast. After lunch in the lakeside village of Skei, continue to Briksdal Glacier, nestled deep within a scenic valley beneath towering peaks and waterfalls.
