Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Maun to Makgadikgadi Pans National Park

Arrive at Maun Airport, a Goway's local representative will be there to welcome your family to Botswana, present your children (aged 6 to 15) with their special Safari Activity Backpack and assist you on to your charter flight into the heart of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The park, populated by up to 30,000 zebra and wildebeest closely accompanied by predators, offers guests the chance to experience the exhilaration of seeing large concentrations of game and the resultant predator interaction. Leroo La Tau offers a raised hide above the river where guests can enjoy spectacular wildlife sightings.


Hotel: Leroo La Tau (4 Star Rating)

Leroo La Tau rises majestically above the Boteti Riverbed which stretches across the western border of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The park, populated by up to 30,000 zebra and wildebeest closely accompanied by predators, offers guests the chance to experience the exhilaration of seeing large concentrations of game and the resultant predator interaction. The lodge offers a raised hide above the river where guests can enjoy spectacular wildlife sightings. The lodge comprises thatched chalets, each with en-suite bathrooms. The main lodge building is surrounded by an expansive wooden deck with a plunge pool, where guests can immerse themselves in the ultimate wildlife experience.

Day 2: Exploring the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park

The lodge offers guided day and night game drives. Depending on the water level, boat activities are also provided. Optional cultural excursions can be arranged to Khumaga Village, as can guided nature walks in the area surrounding the lodge. Leroo La Tau translates as 'lion's paw' but, although the surrounding area features abundant Lion, Zebra and Wildebeest, it also boasts Chobe Bushbuck, Leopard, Cheetah, Brown and Spotted Hyena, Impala, Kudu, Jackal, Porcupine, Genet and Caracal, to name but a few.

Day 3: Makgadikgadi Pans National Park to Moremi Game Reserve

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip in time for your onward light aircraft flight to the famous Moremi Game Reserve. Transfer to your camp. This afternoon, head out on your first game viewing activity in the Moremi Game Reserve.

A full day spent in the Moremi Reserve today. Head out on your scheduled game drives and boat cruises. The diverse habitat offers prolific sightings of Buffalo, Hyena, Elephant, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Hippo, Kudu, Lion, Lechwe and Leopard, among many others. Enjoy spectacular birding, especially in the spring and summer months when the migrants are breeding.

Time permitting this morning, head out on one last game drive in hopes of catching that extra special sighting before transferring to the airstrip in time for your onward flight to Kasane. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your accommodation in Chobe National Park. Time permitting, this afternoon embark on your afternoon game viewing activity.
