Vieux Fort is set on St. Lucia's southern tip, 20 mi/32 km southeast of Castries. There's not much to see in the town itself, but the surrounding area offers some beautiful, long beaches (Anse de Sables may be the prettiest beach on the island), hotels and restaurants, the Maria Islands Nature Reserve, and St. Lucia's international airport, Hewanorra. The scenery en route from Castries along the Atlantic coast includes some of the most spectacular views in the Caribbean.
Though you could get to Vieux Fort and back on a day trip, an overnight stay will give you plenty of time to see the sights along the way. Leave Castries via the center road that goes over the Barre de L'Isle Range—the sights are breathtaking.
If it's still light when you arrive in Vieux Fort, see the blending of the Caribbean and Atlantic from atop Moule-a-Chique, not far from town. And if you're there on a Saturday, be sure to stop at the lively market.
Like the rest of the PONANT EXPLORERS series, Le Champlain successfully manages to subtly combine the desire to explore the remotest regions of the planet with the comfort and privacy of a cozily intimate ship. To the innovative and environmentally friendly equipment are added elegant design and a unique atmosphere in keeping with the whole PONANT universe. Your dream of a cruise onboard a cozily intimate ship is thus made possible through the combination of an authentically genuine voyage experience together with discreet luxury.

Casablanca today boasts one of Africa's largest ports. The Place Mohammed V is the heart of the city; the main boulevards branch out from here. Casablanca is the kingdom's commercial capital; most of the cultural activities are concentrated here, from art galleries to excellent international restaurants. The Hassan II Mosque completed in 1993 is among the largest in the world, boasting the tallest minaret. Casablanca is no doubt Morocco's window on the world and is a fast-paced cosmopolitan city where trends are created and modernism parts company with traditionalism or tries to blend them. Casablanca is one of the world's most interesting and open Muslim cities. Some of the best restaurants are found along Boulevard Mohammed el Hansali and on the way to beach resorts. Casablanca's beaches and exclusive suburb are located to the east of the city along the Boulevard de la Corniche. This is a very trendy area, lined with four-star hotels, restaurants and bars.
