Housed within the walls of Obidos' 12th-century medieval castle, the Pousada Castelo de Obidos stands as a luxurious haven steeped in Portugal's rich history. Offering 14 double rooms and 3 suites, guests can choose between an authentic medieval experience within the castle's walls or a stay in Casa do Castelo, situated adjacent to the castle, for a more town-centric ambiance.
Each room, adorned with the names of Portugal's monarchs who once graced Obidos, boasts modern amenities including en-suite bathrooms, heating/air conditioning, and internet access. Indulge in exquisite Portuguese cuisine at the Pousada's restaurant, where regional delicacies crafted from seasonal ingredients tantalize the taste buds.
As the "wedding present town," Obidos has long been a sanctuary for the Portuguese monarchy, making the Pousada Castelo de Obidos not only a luxurious retreat but also a profound symbol of historical significance, preserving medieval features dating back to the 9th century.
Please note: The Pousada has a number of steps which may make a stay difficult for guests with walking difficulties.
