The City of Galveston is located on the upper Texas coast of the Gulf of Mexico and occupies virtually all of a 32 mile long island located approximately two miles off the Texas mainland 50 miles southeast of Houston, Texas. Principal economic support is provided by the Port of Galveston and related interest, the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and other health institutions, financial institutions, tourism, shrimping, and fishing.
Named in honor of the legendary 1982 MS Tropicale, Carnival Tropicale™ will join the award-winning Excel class in 2028. The original Tropicale introduced a new way of cruising where standout entertainment and onboard experiences mattered just as much as the destinations themselves.
Now that legacy sails forward with a touch of old-Vegas flair and a tropical glow all its own. Think tropical charm with a showstopping wink — immersive spaces and next-generation experiences that make you feel like part of the show. The lineup wouldn't be complete without Excel-class headliners like Sunsation Point, the upper-deck zone made for all-day, all-night fun, and Carnival WaterWorks Ultra, setting the stage for family-friendly thrills and memories worth telling long after the curtain falls.

The island of Cozumel lies
just twelve miles off the Yucatan Coast, a 45 minute ferry ride from the famed
Riviera Maya. Dive into the crystal blue waters of Cozumel and discover why
Jacques Cousteau called it the "best diving area in the world." Palancar Reef,
the second largest in the world, provides an incredible diversity of species,
stunning sites and visibility of at least 150 feet. Whether you're a first time
snorkeler or an experienced diver, the intricate coral reefs and teems of painted
fish will amaze you!
Dec 31, 2028 - Merida (Progreso)
Located on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula in the fascinating Mundo Maya Region,
Merida provides a looking glass that reveals both colonial influence and the
mystique of an ancient civilization. In fact, the city is built on the exact
site of an indigenous ceremonial center.
Easily one of the best way to see Merida is by climbing into a calesa - a
high-wheeled, horse-drawn carriage. The city is also easily explored by foot.
As you amble past whitewashed houses, through lively marketplaces and around
the flower-filled Plaza Mayor, you'll begin to feel as if you've stepped back
in time. You can also visit one of Mexico's oldest cathedrals, built from the
stones of a Mayan temple, explore Paseo Montejo, a Parisian-style boulevard
lined with Victorian mansions, and visit the treasure-filled museums.
Wind down with the friendly locals in the welcoming bars and restaurants of
the old colonial district. If you want to travel even further back in time,
you'll find Merida is surrounded by one of the richest collections of Mayan
ruins in Mexico. Chichen Itza, Uxmal, Dzibilchaltun, and more are just a short
trip away.
