The Sanctuary
Located on the serene shores of Baja’s East Cape within the private 1,500-acre Costa Palmas estate, Amanvari takes its name from the Sanskrit words for ‘peace’ and ‘water’. In harmony with untouched nature where desert, estuary, and ocean converge, the ultra-luxury retreat features 18 elevated bi-level Casitas and multi-bedroom private villas, the dramatic open-air Casa Grande, infinity swimming pools, and holistic wellness rooted in ancestral Mexican healing traditions.
Designed by master architect John Heah, each standalone pavilion is thoughtfully lifted on stilts above a verdant palm grove and natural freshwater estuary, allowing the fragile desert-marine ecosystem to flourish beneath. Floor-to-ceiling glass reveals uninterrupted panoramas of the azure Sea of Cortés, while private cantilevered sundecks with heated plunge pools invite moments of deep contemplation under crystalline Baja skies.
At the center of Amanvari, the three-story open-air Casa Grande hosts three distinct gastronomic journeys: Arva, serving refined farm-to-table Italian fare; Sesui, offering intimate Japanese omakase over binchotan charcoal; and LUMA, celebrating coastal Mexican cooking over wood-fired embers. The tranquil Aman Spa embraces traditional temazcal ceremonies, hydrotherapy, and customized wellness immersions.
