The Fairmont Mara Experience
Peacefully secluded in the northwestern corner of Kenya’s world-renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve at the foot of the Aitong Hills, Fairmont Mara Safari Club is surrounded on three sides by the breathtaking ox-bow bend of the Mara River. The club features 38 luxuriously appointed canvas tents erected upon elevated polished hardwood decks, each offering private observation platforms where guests can watch pods of hippos splash and large Nile crocodiles sunbathe right below. Inside, each tent is furnished with four-poster pillowtop beds, rich African mahogany fittings, modern en-suite bathrooms with solar-heated rain showers, and authentic safari decor.
Beyond game viewing from your private verandah, the club offers thrilling 4x4 game drives in custom open-sided vehicles led by certified Kenyan naturalists, early morning hot air balloon safaris with champagne bush breakfasts, guided nature walks, a heated outdoor swimming pool with river-view sun deck, and memorable evenings in the traditional Sultan Boma featuring authentic Maasai dance and fire-roasted barbecue.
