The legendary birthplace of Aman, Amanpuri (meaning "place of peace" in Sanskrit) was established in 1988 on Phuket’s secluded west coast. Perched upon a lush coconut palm promontory overlooking the private crescent of white sand at Pansea Beach and the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea, the resort represents the purest expression of classical Thai architecture, designed by Ed Tuttle to reflect the graceful aesthetic of ancient Ayutthaya.
