Choosing the ideal host property for our annual retreat is a decision we never take lightly. For 2026, we were graciously hosted by Mary Jo Salas and the extraordinary team at Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort, part of the world-renowned Hyatt Inclusive Collection. Nestled within an exclusive, gated community just north of Cancun, Playa Mujeres is famous for its serene white-sand coastlines, calm turquoise waters, and lush tropical seclusion.
From the moment our advisors arrived via private Amstar DMC luxury transfers, the resort delivered flawless hospitality. Waiting in our suites were exquisite welcome amenities: handcrafted red chocolate roses, gourmet macarons, personalized dessert platters inscribed with “Vincent Vacations – Inspiring Travel,” and custom resort cocktails.

The accommodations at Dreams Playa Mujeres set a benchmark for luxury all-inclusive comfort. Opening Night Kickoff: The “When I Grow Up” Theme Celebration
At Vincent Vacations, we firmly believe in the motto: Work hard, play harder. Our annual retreats are renowned for legendary theme parties, and this year’s opening night kicked off with our hilarious and heartwarming “When I Grow Up” theme celebration.
Everyone arrived dressed up as the profession they dreamed of becoming when they were kids. We had advisors and supplier executives dressed as astronauts, doctors, emergency room nurses, rockstars, commercial airline pilots, safari explorers, schoolteachers, and even blushing brides! It was the perfect icebreaker to spark laughter, share childhood stories, and break down barriers between veteran million-dollar producers and advisors attending their very first retreat.

To match the theme, the resort culinary team prepared an “elevated kid comfort food” feast. Advisors indulged at a gourmet macaroni and cheese bar featuring artisan cheeses and decadent toppings, enjoyed nostalgic sliders, sampled handcrafted candy skewers, and savored whimsical desserts. The party featured a massive custom coloring mural where advisors hand-painted sections of a giant “Vincent Vacations – Curated Travel Est. 2013” world map canvas. As the night unfolded, the energy surged with high-octane karaoke performances, spontaneous dance circles, and joyful camaraderie that set the vibrant tone for the days ahead.

Resort Site Inspections & Exclusive Hardhat Preview: Park Hyatt Riviera Maya
First-hand destination knowledge is what transforms a good travel agent into an indispensable luxury travel advisor. During the retreat, our advisors boarded private Amstar luxury motorcoaches for a full day of hands-on resort inspections across Playa Mujeres and the Riviera Maya.
For our newer agents, this hands-on field mentorship was invaluable. Veteran advisors and agency leadership walked side-by-side with them, teaching them how to evaluate room categories, check sightlines, test soundproofing, assess beachfront topography, and evaluate children’s clubs versus adults-only enclaves.

The pinnacle of our inspection day was an exclusive, invitation-only hardhat tour of the brand-new Park Hyatt Riviera Maya, scheduled to open just 63 days after our visit. Donning hardhats and safety vests, our team walked the construction site of this ultra-luxury sanctuary. Seeing how iconic legacy luxury brands like Park Hyatt are entering the luxury all-inclusive space was an eye-opening revelation for our advisors. The property’s eco-conscious architecture, private plunge-pool villas, world-class culinary venues, and tranquil beachfront will redefine high-end hospitality in the Riviera Maya.

Two Nights of Supplier Dine-Arounds: Intimate Networking & Culinary Artistry
One of the most cherished traditions of our retreat is our Supplier Partner Dine-Arounds. Rather than hosting large, impersonal banquets, we reserve multiple à la carte restaurants across Dreams Playa Mujeres over two consecutive evenings. Small groups of 8 to 10 travel advisors are seated with supplier executive partners at each table.
These intimate dinners allow genuine relationships to flourish. Over multi-course gourmet dinners featuring regional Mexican seafood, artisan steaks, fine wines, and handcrafted desserts, our advisors and partners spent hours discussing emerging consumer travel trends, luxury client expectations, and customized booking opportunities.

The feedback from our newer advisors was unanimous: having uninterrupted, relaxed dinner conversations with senior vice presidents and business development managers gave them the confidence and direct connections needed to supercharge their luxury bookings.
The Grand Finale: Poolside Celebrations, Private Catamaran to Isla Mujeres & Fire Show
Our final day was the ultimate blend of relaxation, adventure, and high-impact celebration. We kicked off the morning from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM with an epic pool party around the resort’s expansive lagoon and swim-out suite terraces. Advisors lounged in submerged sun-shelf loungers, floated on whimsical giant inflatable unicorns, toasted with tropical cocktails served poolside by the attentive Dreams team, and soaked up the Caribbean sunshine.

At 5:00 PM, the grand finale began. We chartered a private luxury catamaran exclusively for Vincent Vacations. Setting sail across the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea toward Isla Mujeres, the atmosphere was electric. Advisors stretched out across the forward bow trampolines, ocean breezes swept through our hair, music played, and we proudly donned our captain and sailor hats to celebrate with the team.

As the golden Mexican sun dipped below the horizon, we docked at an exclusive private beach club on Isla Mujeres. We spent the evening lounging on plush beachfront cabana daybeds, dining on authentic Mexican street tacos, fresh ceviche, and grilled seafood under swaying palm trees. Just when our advisors thought the night couldn’t get any more magical, the beach lights dimmed for a spectacular live fire dancer show. Blazing staves and spinning rings of fire illuminated the white sand and night sky, capping off our 2026 Retreat in unforgettable, breathtaking fashion.
