Disney had previously announced that the Halloween season would begin at Disneyland starting on September 1, 2023, but now we know the closure date for The Haunted Mansion.

Starting August 14, 2023 The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland will close for refurbishment and turn into the Haunted Mansion Holiday!

The outside of the mansion is stunning, with lots to see and take in while you are in the queue. Then the famous stretching room reveals a new set of portraits, featuring characters from 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' intertwined with classic Disney characters. Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, takes center stage, overseeing the holiday festivities in his own mischievous style. Encounters with iconic characters such as Sally, Oogie Boogie, and Zero, the ghost dog, add an extra layer of charm to the Haunted Mansion Holiday Overlay.
