When Four Seasons announced it was designing a custom superyacht fleet, luxury travelers and hospitality insiders wondered if an iconic land-based hotel group could truly replicate its intuitive magic at sea. With Four Seasons I making its official debut in early 2026, the answer is a resounding triumph.
Four Seasons 1 does not feel like a cruise ship in any conventional sense. Measuring 207 meters (679 feet) long with 14 decks, she carries a maximum of just 95 residential suites. That means approximately 190 guests on a vessel that would comfortably accommodate 500 to 600 passengers on a standard luxury cruise line. The result is an astonishing sense of quiet exclusivity and physical freedom.
The dramatic, sleek bow profile of Four Seasons I docked in port.
The embossed Four Seasons Yacht hull insignia and custom crest.
From the moment you step up the gangway, the typical cruise rituals evaporate. There are no registration lines, no crowded muster congregations, and zero commercial announcements over shipboard speakers. Instead, an attendant greets you by name, hands you a chilled flute of champagne, and your dedicated suite team escorts you directly to your private sanctuary.
During our voyage aboard Four Seasons I, we stayed in the breathtaking Saint Tropez Suite. The moment the solid wood entry door clicked shut behind us, the sheer volume of space took our breath away. Designed by visionary luxury yacht architects Tillberg Design of Sweden in collaboration with Four Seasons creative directors, the suite feels like an elite private penthouse on the French Riviera.
The light-filled salon in our Saint Tropez Suite with curved designer sofa and fresh orchids.
Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors opening seamlessly onto our private teak terrace.
The living salon features plush, curved Italian furnishings, bespoke blonde architectural wood millwork, and floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors that dissolve the boundary between indoors and out.
And then came the bedroom:
We greatly appreciated the unparalleled space and view from our bedroom in the Saint Tropez suite. The custom King-size Four Seasons bed is angled perfectly toward curved floor-to-ceiling glass walls, allowing you to wake up to the open sea or coastal cliffs gliding past in total silence.
Contemporary bedside design with intuitive touch controls for lighting and climate.
Golden morning sunlight bathing our Saint Tropez Suite bedroom.
Step through the glass sliders onto the private teak veranda, and you discover the true genius of Four Seasons residential yacht design. The terrace is an outdoor living room in its own right, complete with a private oceanview plunge pool / whirlpool hot tub.
Our private terrace plunge pool looking out over coastal cliffs and open sea.
Enjoying an alfresco lunch with chilled wine on our private veranda—fully stocked with two dedicated terrace bar fridges.
One of my absolute favorite insider details about the private terrace: never go thirsty on the private terrace as it comes with two bar fridges! Having dual outdoor refrigeration units stocked with your favorite vintages, craft sodas, and chilled mineral waters means you never have to walk inside or wait for service while soaking in your plunge pool under the sun.
Twilight in our private terrace whirlpool as the Mediterranean sea turns deep blue.
Attendant pouring vintage champagne on our private terrace before evening cocktails.
The master bathroom is equally palatial. Clad in bookmatched Italian marble with dual vanities, walk-in rainfall shower, and bespoke Four Seasons botanical amenities, the centerpiece is an oversized freestanding soaking tub placed directly against a floor-to-ceiling ocean window.
While every stateroom aboard Four Seasons I is an expansive oceanfront suite (starting at a generous 500 square feet), the crowning jewel of maritime architecture is the extraordinary Funnel Suite. Spanning four full levels nestled directly within the yacht's aerodynamic glass funnel superstructure, the Funnel Suite encompasses nearly 9,600 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor living space. It features private elevator access, dedicated wading pools, an outdoor shower, private spa facilities, and wrap-around panoramic views that command the entire aft horizon.

Residential corridors lined with arched portals, gentle ambient sconces, and fine art.
The multi-story central atrium featuring sculptural glass and steel spiral engineering.
The public decks aboard Four Seasons I are masterclasses in residential relaxation. Midship on the main pool deck sits the 20-meter saltwater lap pool—one of the largest swimming pools ever engineered onto any private superyacht or luxury cruise vessel.
Engineered with a revolutionary hydraulic floor, the base of the pool can be elevated flush with the surrounding teak deck at sunset, transforming the entire pool area into an expansive open-air salon for moonlight cocktail galas and private concerts.
Plush private sun loungers on the teak promenade deck.
The 20-meter pool deck dramatically illuminated with turquoise lighting at night.
When anchored in sheltered bays, the yacht deploys her defining marine innovation: the Transverse Sea-Level Marina. Unlike conventional cruise stern platforms that are narrow and enclosed, Four Seasons I features massive fold-out marina terraces extending across the full width of the vessel on both port and starboard sides.
Guests step straight from the yacht into the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean or Caribbean. The marina is fully stocked with custom high-speed Seabobs, stand-up paddleboards, sea kayaks, snorkeling gear, and custom limousine tenders ready to whisk guests to private beach clubs.
Four Seasons operates more Michelin stars across its worldwide hotel portfolio than nearly any other hospitality brand on Earth. That unrivaled culinary heritage is on full display across the yacht's 11 distinct restaurants, lounges, and private bars.
There are zero rigid buffets, zero assigned dining times, and no requirement to sit with strangers. You dine whenever, wherever, and with whomever you please.
The signature fine-dining restaurant featuring emerald green velvet banquettes and open ocean vistas.
The glamorous evening cocktail lounge with amber backlighting and bespoke mixology.
Highlights of the culinary experience include:
Handcrafted dessert selection prepared daily by the master pastry chef.
Interactive chef counter preparing artisanal breakfast dishes à la minute.
Multi-course dinner featuring artisanal Italian burrata, heirloom tomatoes, and sommelier wine pairings.
Gourmet sushi and sashimi lunch served alfresco on the teak deck.
One of the most memorable privileges of our voyage was an exclusive invitation to visit the navigation bridge of Four Seasons I.
The bridge is a marvel of maritime technology. Equipped with custom joystick dynamic positioning systems, Four Seasons I can hold her position over fragile marine reefs without ever dropping anchor, preserving seabed corals and sea grass. The captain and officers were incredibly gracious, explaining how the yacht’s hybrid-ready propulsion and green hull design reduce hydrodynamic drag and environmental footprint.
For travelers who prioritize daily fitness and holistic rejuvenation, Four Seasons I offers a wellness center that rivals the finest luxury health clubs on land. Floor-to-ceiling sea views fill the fitness pavilion, which is fully equipped with the latest Technogym cardio machines, functional strength equipment, free weights, and an open stretching studio. Adjacent to the fitness center, the Four Seasons Spa provides bespoke facial and body therapies, cold-plunge plunge pools, and steam rooms.
Ocean-facing cardio machines with panoramic sea vistas.
Technogym strength training studio and customized workout stations.
Dedicated free-weight area with dumbbells and multi-angle benches.
Evenings aboard Four Seasons I are remarkably relaxed, sophisticated, and intimate. You will not find loud mega-ship production revues or noisy casinos. Instead, the yacht cultivates an atmosphere reminiscent of an elite private country club or upscale seaside villa.
The top-deck observation lounge at magic hour with circular daybeds.
Postcard-perfect Greek island anchorage accessible only to private yachts.
Live vocal musical performance under the open sky during evening cocktails.
Live acoustic pianist performing on the white grand piano in the lounge.
As dusk settles, guests gather on the upper observation deck or main lounge to sip craft cocktails while talented vocalists and classical pianists provide gentle acoustic accompaniment under the stars.
Because Four Seasons I carries only 95 suites and features an agile shallow-draft hull, her itinerary design is fundamentally different from mass-market cruise lines.
During summer months, Four Seasons I navigates the glamorous coastlines of the French Riviera, the Italian Amalfi Coast, the Adriatic, and hidden Greek Cycladic isles—anchoring in intimate coves off Saint-Tropez, Capri, Portofino, Milos, and Hydra. During winter, she repositions to the Caribbean, dropping anchor in St. Barths, Nevis, the Grenadines, and the British Virgin Islands.
