The area’s year-round sunny weather and stunning natural scenery make it ideal for outdoor adventures. And the island’s beaches are some of the best in the world. Try Mauna Kea Beach for relaxing, the gently sloping Hapuna Beach for swimming and boogie boarding and Kealakekua Bay for the best snorkeling. If you are heading to Mauna Kea Beach, we recommend you go early in the morning to claim a parking spot.   Whatever you choose to explore, you’ll find that the Kohala Coast preserves the authentic flavor of Hawaii’s Polynesian roots.
